Warner Pacific University , an urban Christian Liberal Arts University in Portland, Oregon, is seeking adjunct instructors to teach in both its traditional undergraduate program (located in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood) and its evening Adult Degree Program (with campuses throughout the Portland metro area). Specific areas of need are:
Accounting, Math, English, Business, Organizational Dynamics, Human Development, Psychology, and Social Science. A graduate degree is required.
Graduate Adjunct Openings
Warner Pacific University is also seeking adjunct instructors to teach in its Master of Education, Master of Arts in Teaching, and Master in Management & Organizational Leadership programs. Specific areas of need for MEd adjuncts are as follows:
Current Issues in Education, Advanced Teaching Methods, Teaching Diversity in Today's Classroom, Research Design, and Content Area Literacy. Specific areas of need for MMOL adjuncts include upper level Leadership, Organizational Design, and Ethics.
A masters degree is required for all adjunct positions, with a PhD or discipline-specific doctorate degree preferred. Recent K-12 teaching experience is a plus and/or preference for MEd and MAT adjuncts. Adjuncts for the MEd program will need to write a syllabus and select a textbook. All adjunct positions are temporary, part-time positions, teaching one evening per week.
