Part‑Time Faculty – Interest Pool
Portland Community College (PCC) invites applications for a part‑time faculty interest pool in Mathematics across its campuses. The role will include substitute and full‑term assignments as needed during the academic year. Applicants must be residents of Oregon or Washington.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide instruction, assessment, and support for Mathematics courses, including lectures, labs, and dual‑credit assignments. Assist faculty with course preparation, supervise labs and tutorials, and uphold academic standards.
Instructor Qualifications- Master’s degree (MS or MA) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics, or related field; AND Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Minimum of 18 quarter hours (12 semester hours) of graduate‑level mathematics; or a Master’s degree in a related field and 27 quarter hours (18 semester hours) of graduate‑level mathematics.
- Demonstrated competency as a part‑time faculty or dual‑credit instructor.
- Hourly rates per PCC part‑time faculty salary schedule, based on course type.
- Eligible for Oregon Sick Leave and retirement savings plans.
- Oregon Veterans’ Preference in public employment.
