Portland Community College is the largest post‑secondary institution in Oregon and the 19th largest in the nation. With four comprehensive campuses, five workforce training and education centers, and 200 community locations in the Portland metropolitan area, PCC serves approximately 80,000 full‑ and part‑time students. The Department will review applications as needed for new part‑time faculty and may consider applicants for substitute assignments as well as full‑term class assignments.

Official transcripts are required to be submitted within two weeks of the offer date for degrees required in the Instructor Qualifications. Instructors must have earned required academic credentials at a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation. Candidates with foreign credentials will have transcripts evaluated by agencies with good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

Newly hired Part‑time Faculty at PCC will generally start at Step1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates are determined based on the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab). For more information, review the Part‑time Faculty Salary Schedule at https://.
