The position is an interest pool; applicants may be considered for substitute or full‑term class assignments during the academic year. No specific open position is announced at this time.

• Preferred:
  Master of Arts in French language.
• Alternative: MAT in French with 30 graduate credit hours in language, linguistics, literature, and culture; or a Master’s in a related field with that many credit hours.
• Native or near‑native ability (assessed via proficiency interview).
• One year of previous college teaching experience in a related subject.
• Evidence of teaching ability (vita, supporting materials).
• Recent completion of a 3‑credit graduate‑level course on college‑level second‑language teaching methods/methodology for the language (or required completion during first term of employment at PCC).

• Official transcripts must be submitted within two weeks of offer date for required degrees.
• Credentials must be earned at a regionally accredited U.S. institution or equivalent foreign institution.
• Foreign credentials will be evaluated by agencies with good standing with NACES.

• Oregon Veterans' Preference in Public Employment law applies. Veterans and disabled veterans will receive preference during recruitment. Documentation (DD‑214, and for disabled veterans an additional letter from the Department of VA) must be submitted during the application process.
