Position: Head Coach - High School Volleyball (2026-27)

Riverdale High School Coach Position

Starting Salary: $6,260.23

Key points of the job description for a Coach:

  • High ethical and professional standards.
  • Direct a successful grade 9-12 program and oversee all facets of an entire community youth program.
  • Be a role model for high school student-athletes.
  • Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports by encouraging student-athletes to compete in other programs.
  • Develop and implement an off-season program.
  • Lead student-athletes in the support of other Riverdale School District athletics and activities.

The Coach will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage all aspects of the high school program, including training, practice schedules, and routines.
  • Hire and oversee a staff of assistant coaches.
  • Provide regular communication with parents/families.
  • Regularly track the academic progress of all student-athletes in the program and facilitate necessary support to ensure their academic eligibility.
  • Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports and encourage athletes to compete in other programs.
  • Develop and implement an off-season program for athletics.

All coaches will need to complete the following prior to employment:

  • OSAA Coaching Certification
  • NFHS/ASEP Certification
  • First Aid Card (CPR and AED trained)
  • District Fingerprinting/Criminal Check

Salary, fringe benefits, working conditions, and the like are negotiated every three years between the Riverdale School Board and the Riverdale Teachers Association.
