About the ProgramGirls on the Run's mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. About the ProjectGirls on the Run Greater Oregon’s coach registration is now open! Girls on the Run is a local youth empowerment program that focuses on empowering girls and nonbinary youth in grades 3rd‑5th and 6th‑8th grade. Girls on the Run programming is conducted in 8‑week sessions.
Participants meet twice per week for 90 minutes per practice on teams of 8‑15 kiddos. Each team has 2‑3 coaches who co‑coach and guide participants through a research‑based curriculum. Practices have social‑emotional themes, such as how to be a good friend and how to set healthy boundaries.
