Portland Community College (PCC) is the largest post‑secondary institution in Oregon and 19th largest in the nation, serving approximately 80,000 full‑ and part‑time students.

PCC currently limits employment to individuals residing in Oregon and Washington. Employment offers are contingent upon the ability to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.

Applications are accepted for part‑time faculty positions in the Education Department at the Cascade Campus. The department will review applications in this pool as needed for new part‑time faculty assignments, including substitute and full‑term class assignments.

• Master’s degree in the subject area (e.g., education, library, media).
• OR Master’s degree in any related area plus two years of combined teaching and non‑teaching experience in the field.

Official transcripts are required within two weeks of offer date for degrees listed above.

• Oregon sick leave.

Newly hired part‑time faculty will generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates are determined based on the type of course taught (lecture, lab, lecture/lab).

Portland Community College complies with the Oregon Veterans' Preference in Public Employment law:
