Part‑Time Faculty – Auto Collision Repair
Please note:

Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part‑Time Faculty assignments in Auto Collision Repair at the Rock Creek Campus. This is not a specific open position but a part‑time faculty interest pool from which assignments will be identified as needed during the academic year.
Instructor Qualifications- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- I‑CAR Training in Auto Collision Repair
- Five (5) years full‑time “on the line” experience in Auto Collision Repair with some technical knowledge of Auto Body Painting
- Three (3) or more years of supervisory work experience in the Auto Collision Repair industry
ASE (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) certification in Auto Collision Repair is required within the first year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications- AAS (or higher) in Auto Collision Repair Technology
- Teacher’s preparation coursework
- Five (5) years current full‑time “on the line” experience in Auto Collision Repair with some technical knowledge of Auto Body Painting
- Five (5) years recent experience teaching elements of Auto Collision Repair
- Five (5) years supervisory experience in the Auto Collision Repair industry

- Official transcripts are required to be submitted within 2 weeks of offer date for degrees required in the stated Instructor Qualifications.
- Instructors shall have earned required academic credentials at a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution having the equivalent of regional accreditation. Instructors with credentials from other countries will have their transcripts evaluated by agencies that have good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services to establish fulfillment of this standard.

Part‑time Faculty Compensation at PCCNewly hired Part‑Time Faculty at PCC will generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates are determined based upon the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab).
