Part‑Time Faculty assignments in Exercise Science at the Sylvania Campus. Immediate openings for the Winter 2026 term. Applications will be considered for substitute assignments as well.

Responsibilities

Teaching physical education and exercise science courses, including resistance training, fitness assessment, exercise program design, biomechanics/kinesiology.

  • Design and deliver course content for lecture and lab courses.
  • Develop assignments, assessments, and grading rubrics.
  • Supervise students in practical laboratory settings.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Sports Psychology, Sports Fitness, Sports Science, Outdoor Recreation Leadership, Human Performance, Kinesiology, or Human Physiology plus three years of industry experience.

OR Master’s degree in any field plus Bachelor’s degree in one of the above plus three years of industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in the listed fields.
  • Three years of recent experience teaching adults in Physical Education or fitness‑related classes.
  • Ability to teach at least one listed professional activity class.
  • Current certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
  • Experience teaching theoretical lecture classes in exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, etc.
  • Experience supervising students in practical labs (anatomy, kinesiology, fitness assessment).
