Portland State University, College of Urban and Public Affairs seeks an Early Childhood Substitute Assistant Teacher for a temporary position starting July 16, 2026. This role involves supporting a teaching team across the Center’s classrooms, working with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Candidates must have college coursework in Early Childhood Education or a relevant credential.
The starting salary ranges from $18.06 to $19.36 per hour for approximately 19 hours per week. This role is not benefits eligible, and candidates should possess certifications in First Aid/CPR, a Food Handler’s Card, and meet other child care requirements.
