Part‑Time Faculty – Psychology (Interest Pool)

Portland Community College (PCC) is a large public institution that serves ~80,000 students across 4 campuses and numerous community locations. PCC is currently accepting applications to be considered for part‑time faculty assignments in Psychology. The pool is used to identify candidates for substitute or full‑term class assignments as course needs arise; it is not a specific open position.

Employment is limited to individuals residing in Oregon or Washington. Candidates must be able to establish residence in either state at the time of hiring.

• Master’s degree or higher in Psychology (including all specialized degrees with "Psychology" in the title)
• OR Master’s degree or higher in Counseling (specialties MFT, MFCC, CMF)
• OR Master’s degree or higher in a related area and completion of 30 quarter‑hours of graduate credit in a Psychology or Counseling Department

Related area degrees (examples only):

• Cognitive Science, Human Science, Neuroscience
• Social or Human Ecology, Social Work, Human Development

Qualifications for PSY 236 (Psychology of Adult Development & Aging) require either the general instructor qualifications above, or:

• Master’s degree in Gerontology
• At least 30 graduate credit hours in Psychology and / or Human Development

Official transcripts are required within 2 weeks of offer date for the degrees mentioned above.
