Job Overview

Portland Community College (PCC) is accepting applications for part‑time faculty positions in the Aviation Science Department at the Rock Creek Campus. The department will review applications on a rolling basis as course assignments become available and may consider applicants for substitute or full‑term assignments.

Minimum qualifications for all courses:

• Willingness to commit to a full term.
• Relevant experience. Candidates with fewer years of experience may be considered for part‑time roles if their experience aligns with the subject area.

Preferred qualifications (in addition to the minimum):

• FAA IA Certificate
• Flight Instructor Certificate

Official transcripts for required degrees must be submitted within two weeks of the offer date. Credentials must come from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent foreign institution; foreign transcripts will be evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation agency.

All hiring is contingent upon a successful criminal background check and a successful security clearance as required by the Clery Act.
