Compensation: $120,000 annual W2 salary, paid weekly.
This is a full‑time (40 hrs per week) mentorship role at an Alpha K‑8 school. The focus is on student motivation, life‑skills coaching, and driving academic achievement through AI‑driven applications.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitate one‑hour life‑skills sessions for K‑8 cohorts on topics such as public speaking, focus, and constructive feedback, customizing and expanding content as needed
- Conduct daily individual and small‑group motivation sessions, guiding students toward weekly app targets using Coachbot analytics, Alpha’s reward system, and personal rapport
- Administer Test2
Pass (Alpha’s competency‑based evaluation), coaching students until mastery is attained - Adjust coaching style across the age spectrum—from energetic activities for kindergarteners to direct accountability conversations for eighth‑graders
- Analyze weekly cohort metrics in Coachbot, identify students behind schedule, and redesign next‑week strategies based on data insights
Success is measured by at least 90 % of your cohort meeting weekly app targets, demonstrating measurable life‑skill improvement on Test2
Pass, and rating their experience with you at 4 / 5 or higher.
- Delivering academic instruction from a whiteboard; content is embedded in the applications
- Creating an entire curriculum from scratch; you start with an established playbook and enhance it with your own style
- Passive monitoring of students’ computer use; motivation here is active, individualized, and persistent
- Securing institutional approvals for additional resources; you decide and execute coaching needs on the day
- Grading, standardized test prep, or parent communications; those tasks are handled by Campus Leads
- In‑person availability at one of the listed Alpha campuses (relocation assistance available)
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Minimum 3 years direct experience with K‑8 students (instruction, coaching, tutoring, camp leadership, or youth program management)
- Concrete example of motivating a K‑8 student to reach a challenging goal, including objective, actions, and result
- Comfort with AI‑driven instructional delivery while focusing on motivation and life‑skill development
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp direction, theater, or after‑school programs with direct responsibility for motivating students
- History of personal excellence (academic, athletic, or professional) demonstrating a commitment to rigorous standards
- Strong communication and presentation skills to command a room of 12‑year‑olds for an hour without escalating volume
- Proven ability to transform unengaged or reluctant students into active contributors
