International Student Program Coordinator
The International Student Program Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, admissions, re-enrollment, communication, and oversight of all international student placement at Mannahouse Christian Academy, including individual and group enrollments. This role coordinates student host family recruitment and placement, maintains strong relationships with students, host families, parents, and educational agents, and organizes programs and activities that support a positive and successful international student experience.
Serving as the primary liaison between families, agents, students, host families, and MCA staff, this position ensures clear communication, regulatory compliance, and exceptional support throughout each student's educational journey.
Qualifications
Required:
Previous administrative experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management abilities, proficiency with databases, Google Suite, and other software systems, ability to build positive relationships with students, families, agents, and staff, understanding of cultural differences and the unique needs of international students.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree, experience with international student programs or admissions, experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the Director of Business Development.
Primary Responsibilities:
Recruit, admit, enroll, and re-enroll international students across MCA campuses, manage the admissions process using the FACTS Student Information System, coordinate visa documentation, I-20 issuance and transfers, and maintain compliance as the Primary Designated School Official (DSO), build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, educational agents, and host families, recruit, screen, place, and support host families, monitor student academic progress, behavior, spiritual growth, and overall wellbeing, conduct campus tours, interviews, orientations, and welcome activities for new students, plan and coordinate international student events, outings, birthday celebrations, and community-building activities, maintain accurate student, host family, and agent records, coordinate billing and payments between families, agents, host families, and the school, create marketing materials and quarterly newsletters to support international recruitment efforts, collaborate with school leadership and staff to provide an exceptional experience for international students, support international admissions and student services for the Vancouver, Portland, and Eugene campuses, perform other duties as assigned.
