International School of Portland – 2026 Summer Camp
We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and creative Seasonal Full‑time Specialist Teachers to join our team for Summer 2026. We specifically seek Sports and Games Specialists to add variety and enrichment to our program.
Our Summer Camp immerses campers (age 3‑10) in Spanish, Chinese, or Japanese language and culture. Specialist classes are taught in English.
DATES 2026- Session 1 – June 22 – July 3
- Session 2 – July 6 – July 17
- Session 3 – July 20 – July 31
(All Specialists must participate in training in May and/or June.)
HOURS7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday‑Friday
PAY RATE (per 2‑week session)- More than 5 years at camp – $2,420
- Returning Specialist Teacher – $2,365
- New Specialist Teacher – $2,123
Camp staff receive a discount on summer camp enrollment fees for eligible children.
General SummaryFull‑time seasonal positions report to the Summer Camp Director. Responsibilities include planning and implementing curriculum, submitting lesson plans, teaching specialist classes, supervising children and ensuring their safety, and communicating with Camp Director and other camp staff.
Qualifications- Eligible to work in the USA
- Teaching certification or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of experience working with children age 3‑12, preferably in a camp or school setting
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Support the mission and vision of The International School of Portland
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, responsibility, and a passion for teaching young learners
