Job Summary

This position is for students who will be either:

  • GRADERS : grading work for selected computer science courses, or
  • LAB ASSISTANTS : working in a lab course to support the student learning experience
In your cover letter, please list the name of the faculty member and the name of the course with which you are interested in assisting.

Core Duties

Grading:

  • Support your assigned faculty member with grading of assignments, homework, and exams
  • Handle student documents with confidentiality and discretion
  • Communicate with faculty member(s) on grading parameters, requirements, and deadlines
  • Meet faculty timelines for grading work
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
  • Support the students during lab periods
  • Handle student challenges with confidentiality and discretion
  • Communicate with faculty member(s) on student support needs, issues needing attention
  • Consistent attendance to provide the support to the Lab students
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants must have completed the course they will be grading or assisting with an A or B passing grade.
  • Student must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in good standing.
