This position oversees Long Term Group Home’s Education Department, consisting of three Education Assistants and two Skills Trainers. The Education Services Supervisor is responsible for the development and coordination of academic programing and ensuring the completion and documentation of state and ORR assessment standards and state licensing requirements. This involves regular review and analysis of ORR policy, coordination with a multidisciplinary team of program staff, and communication with stakeholders as necessary to introduce new and improved opportunities for client services related to education and independent living skills.
The position also serves as teacher providing the Flores required education services and supporting the program’s behavioral model.
The Education Services Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between the LTGH program, school district staff, and community partners who collaborate to provide linguistically and developmentally appropriate educational services to the youth in care. Staff supervision includes demonstrating Sanctuary Model commitments, and direct client engagement ensures the Education Services Supervisor is active in upholding LTGH’s behavior management systems.
Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise Skill Trainers and Education Assistants
- Provide academic curriculum consistent with the students’ academic development, literacy and linguisticability.
- Curriculum development includes varying levels of English, Math and Science including English language training.
- Provide linguistically appropriate educational materials.
- Provide a syllabus of curriculum covered at least once ayear.
- Participate in developing and maintaining an educational program which meets ORRstandards.
- Maintain records as required by State or ORR for classroomdocumentation.
- Plan and arrange field trips.
- Developprofessionalrelationshipswithcommunityresourcestoacquirecurriculummaterialstoenhancethe learning experience for students.
- In collaboration with the Skills Trainers and Education Assistants, develop written weekly lesson plans, meet individual students’ needs, and provide applied learning activities that are active, student directed, project- based, and integrated.

- Is aware of Morrison Compliance Program including Compliance Officer, Compliance Standards of Conduct, and Employee Compliance Hotline. Understands Compliance Standards of Conduct and signs attestation document. Completes all assigned compliance, HIPAA, client privacy, and fraud, waste, and abuse training. Knows how to report any client privacy or fraud, waste, or abuse concerns.
