Clinical Supervisor for Nursing (BSN program)

Warner Pacific University is seeking a dedicated Clinical Supervisor for Nursing to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for experienced RNs, nurse educators, or semi-retired clinicians who want to stay connected to the profession by providing hands-on clinical instruction at healthcare facilities throughout the Portland metro area. We welcome applicants who are passionate about mentoring future nurses, value the diversity, equity, and inclusion of all students, and bring real-world nursing experience to their teaching.
PrimaryJob Duties:
- Clinical instruction of a group of up to 8 students in a healthcare or community setting.
- Clearly communicate to students when and how to secure instruction and feedback outside of regular course meeting hours.
- Promote best practices in nursing education and adult learning.
- Provide prompt and thorough feedback to students to ensure their ability to incorporate changes before subsequent clinical experiences.
- Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills in all interactions with faculty, staff, and students.
- Adhere to University policies and procedures.
- Exhibit commitment to inclusiveness and sensitivity in areas of national origin, ethnicity, culture, gender and disabilities.
- BSN with CNE or CL certification for clinical instruction
- Current unencumbered RN license in Oregon.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Graduate degree in nursing
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Collegiate-level teaching experience or precepting experience
- Current unencumbered RN license in Washington.
The position is located in a typical office environment. Professional/business casual attire is required.
