Overview

Are you an organized technical professional who loves working with facility systems and spatial data? Multnomah County's Department of County Assets (DCA) is looking for a Building Data Controller to join our dedicated Tech Team!

In this role, you will serve as the BIM subject matter expert for County-operated facilities and building systems. You will be responsible for providing essential building information needed for ongoing construction and maintenance projects, directly supporting the lifecycle management of over 170 facilities. If you enjoy collaborating with diverse partners, maintaining efficient systems that prevent duplicate data, and helping develop our 3D building models, we would love to have you on our team.

Essential Job Functions:

* BIM Implementation & Revit Model Production:
You will use Revit to develop and maintain highly specialized, complex, 3-dimensional facility models that reflect actual as-built conditions. You will also help execute the County's Building Information Modeling (BIM) plan, advising leadership on technology requirements and mapping out future business processes to preserve our assets.

* A/E Coordination:
You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for Architecture and Engineering (A&E) firms, guiding them on our data standards and ensuring their Revit models integrate perfectly with our internal facility systems. You will also help onboard and train external stakeholders to keep workflows moving efficiently.

* Database Management:
You will review, catalog, and standardize project record drawings and documentation within our database, ensuring safe internal and external team access while tracking equipment life cycles.

* AutoCAD & Specialized Drawing Production:
You will update CAD drawings to reflect real-world site changes and create customized graphical resources like Custodial Maps, Snow Maps, and Pre-Incident Utility Plans.

* Training &

Collaboration:

You will deliver supportive virtual and in-person training to help coworkers comfortably navigate systems like Bluebeam, Google Docs, and Masterworks.

To Qualify

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. We value your diverse life and work experiences and will consider any combination of relevant education, work experience, volunteering, and transferable skills as qualifying.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Three (3) years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties (7 years total qualifying experience)

* Advanced knowledge and technical skill using Building Information Modeling software, specifically Revit.

* A strong working knowledge of building construction documents, design and construction project document technical reviews, and project close-out standards management.

* Experience working with AutoCAD and data tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

* An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) of Architectural Design and Drafting or Autodesk certification.
