Join an aerospace team building the next generation of flight hardware.
This company is developing advanced aircraft and unmanned systems, combining lightweight structures, rapid prototyping, and high-performance mechanical design. With programs moving quickly from concept through flight test, they’re seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer II to support fast-paced development and production-ready design.
You’ll work across metallic, composite, and plastic components - owning parts from early concept through fabrication, test, and vendor production.
- Design detailed metallic aircraft components and assemblies
- Develop composite parts and bonded composite/metallic structures
- Design 3D printed and injection molded plastic components
- Manage large CAD assemblies using best-practice top-down modeling
- Partner with FEA teams to analyze and optimize structural designs
- Generate interface control documents (ICDs) and system requirements
- Fabricate, assemble, and test prototypes you design
- Work directly with vendors to manufacture flight hardware
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (MS or PE a plus)
- 3–7 years experience in mechanical design engineering
- Strong experience with composite part design and bonded structures
- Familiarity with composites molding, machining, and additive manufacturing
- Hands-on experience building and prototyping your own designs
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Greencard holder
- Position requires on-site work and occasional domestic travel
