About Us: Datavault AI, along with its event-technology subsidiary Event Citadel (formerly Compu Systems), operates across a diverse portfolio of technology and service divisions.
Datavault AI Inc. delivers high-performance computing software, Web 3.0 data-management solutions, and advanced audio technologies to a broad range of industries. Its Acoustic Science division licenses spatial and multichannel HD audio technologies—including ADIO®, WiSA®, and Sumerian®—to customers in sports & entertainment, events & venues, automotive, finance, and other sectors.
Event Citadel (formerly Compu Systems), founded in 1976, is a trusted provider of end-to-end event technology solutions, offering registration, ticketing, lead retrieval, and attendee-engagement services for events of all sizes across trade, association, corporate, and government markets.
The Role: Datavault AI is looking for a Robotics Engineer to work on our Humanoid Robots. This role will primarily be focused on enabling our use of Robots for use at the Event Citadel subsidiary of Datavault. A good candidate will have a deep understanding of programming movement and control to allow a robot to open a door and escort a person to a specific location.
Afterwards, the robot would need to return to the door and verify if a person can enter a given space. The robot will need to scan Passes and reject people who are not allowed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Design:
Architecting high-degree-of-freedom (DOF) structures, including robotic arms, legs for bipedal locomotion, and dexterous hand systems. - Locomotion & Control:
Developing and implementing algorithms for dynamic stability, gait, and whole-body control (e.g., ZMP, LIPM) to ensure the robot can walk and balance. - Manipulation:
Designing sensors and actuators for fine motor skills, object grasping, and tactile feedback. - System Integration:
Merging perception (computer vision, LiDAR), motion planning, and hardware components into a unified, reliable platform. - Testing & Validation:
Using simulation tools (like Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or Mujoco) and physical prototypes to debug and optimize performance.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or Computer Science.
- 7+ years of experience in robotics or related fields, with expertise expected of a senior engineer.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python is essential for core control and perception libraries.
- Proven experience as a senior robotics engineer, owning complex systems from concept to deployment.
- Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, sensor fusion, and increasingly, AI/Machine Learning for motion control.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- A fast-paced, high-impact work environment.
- Opportunity to work closely with executive leadership.
- The chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and make a significant impact.
