Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Process Piping Designer to join our engineering design team for high-tech industrial manufacturing facility projects. The ideal candidate will specialize in chemical, industrial, and cleanroom piping systems and possess extensive experience in 3D layout design for mechanical equipment and piping systems. This role involves close collaboration with engineers, designers, and drafters to develop accurate and coordinated 3D piping models that meet project specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Develop 3D piping and equipment layout models in CADWorx or Revit under the direction of Lead Designers.
- Coordinate with other piping designers, engineers, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure accurate and fully integrated designs.
- Review and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and mechanical equipment specifications to create detailed piping models.
- Collaborate with drafters, engineers, and project managers to maintain design accuracy, integrity, and adherence to project schedules.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability checks, and cross-discipline coordination to identify and resolve potential conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and company design procedures for chemical and industrial process systems.
- Model industrial waste, high purity water, and chemical process piping systems, including support for cleanroom and semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- Provide technical input on layout improvements, constructability, and installation efficiency.
- 8–10+ years of experience as a Process Piping Designer, with a strong focus on chemical/industrial piping systems, high purity water, and industrial waste piping.
- Advanced user of CADWorx, Revit 3D, and Navisworks (or equivalent 3D design tools).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment layout, including pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and associated piping.
- Experience with cleanroom, semiconductor, and high-tech industrial facility projects preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and process documentation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards for chemical and industrial piping systems.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience in chemical processing facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, or high-tech industrial plants.
- Familiarity with industrial waste treatment piping, clean utilities, and high-purity process systems.
- Background in process optimization, constructability reviews, and plant layout improvements.
- Knowledge of Lean construction and design-for-installation practices.
