Your impact
We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern from the MECOP Co-op Program with an interest in HVAC, Building Mechanical, and Fire Protection Systems to join our Advanced Facilities team. You’ll have the opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge and apply it to solving today’s challenges. You’ll work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of engineering services.
You’ll be responsible for providing system design calculations and other related design services, including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering) under the guidance of Professional Engineers. You’ll use your skills and experience to help deliver and complete challenging and engaging projects. You’ll assist in designing the plans for the facility's heating/cooping, overall safety, and much more. You’ll also take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by progressing from basic design work to more complicated projects in collaboration with a technical team.

Responsibilities- Provide system design calculations and related design services for mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, etc.).
- Coordinate with designs of other trades (architectural and engineering).
- Work under the guidance of Professional Engineers to help deliver and complete projects.
- Assist in designing facility plans for heating, safety, and related systems.
- Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of assigned work.
- Progress from basic design tasks to more complex projects with a technical team.
- Participation in the MECOP Program
- Enrollment in a degree-seeking program in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
- Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping, for buildings and facilities
- Proficiency in Revit, 3D CADD
- Prior work experience with a design firm in an internship or similar setting

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though it will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
