• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs
• Work on projects that typically include traditional highway bridges (steel plate girder or prestressed concrete), pedestrian bridges, railroad bridges, retaining walls, and sign bridges in seismic geographical locations
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
• Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, and develop structural details using specialized software
• Participate in bridge inspections
• Perform other duties as needed

• Master s Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of bridge design experience
• Familiarity with engineering software packages such as: SAP
  2000, LARSA 4D, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-Multi Pier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, CSiBridge, ADINA, RM Bridge, sp Column, LUSAS, STLBridge
  
  LRFD, or STLBridge

• Bachelor s degree
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
• MS Office, MathCAD and AutoCAD, LARSA and Prestress Concrete Design experience
• Knowledge of and some familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and engineering software such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-Multi Pier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, SAP
  2000, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, sp Column, STLBridge
  
  LRFD, or STLBridge
• Knowledge of Bentley Open Bridge Designer and Open Bridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
• Strong understanding and hands-on use of computers for structural layout and design
• Good communication skills and willing to work in a team environment
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
