We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler with a strong focus on Primavera P6 scheduling for capital transmission line and substation projects. This role is integral to the planning and execution of high-impact infrastructure projects within the electric utility sector. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in developing and managing detailed schedules using P6 and a deep understanding of capital transmission project life cycles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Primavera P6 Scheduling:
    Lead the development, maintenance, and management of complex, resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6 for capital transmission and substation projects.
  • Schedule Planning & Integration:
    Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define project scope and integrate all phases of engineering, procurement, and construction into a cohesive master schedule.
  • Schedule Analysis & Forecasting:
    Track progress, perform schedule health checks, and analyze float and critical path activities to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Reporting & Dashboards:
    Generate and distribute regular reports and P6 dashboards highlighting schedule status, key milestones, variances, and potential impacts to project timelines.
  • Baseline & Change Management:
    Maintain baseline schedules and incorporate scope changes, delays, and adjustments efficiently while ensuring transparency and traceability.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    Interface with internal departments, contractors, and third-party vendors to align schedule activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Capital Project Focus:
    Ensure that scheduling practices support the unique requirements of capital transmission investments, including permitting, long lead times, and regulatory compliance.
  • Compliance & Standards:
    Adhere to internal project controls processes, utility industry standards, and safety regulations in all scheduling activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in scheduling capital utility transmission or substation projects, with strong emphasis on Primavera P6.
  • Expertise in CPM scheduling, schedule risk analysis, and resource loading using P6.
  • Familiarity with capital project lifecycle in the utility industry, including permitting, design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present schedule data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a project controls or PMO environment is a plus.
