Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a CADD/BIM Systems Manager to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of company-wide CADD and BIM standards, processes, and technologies. This role may be performed from any Kleinschmidt office with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.
Salary: $110,000-$140,000/year (based on experience)
Who You AreA CADD/BIM Systems professional with a minimum 15 years of experience in architectural, engineering, or related design consulting fields with advanced knowledge of CADD systems.
Required Qualifications- Demonstrated proficiency with Autodesk AEC Collection platforms, including Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Infra Works, ReCap, Navisworks, and BIM Collaborate Pro.
- Strong technical background in file management, software deployment, and IT coordination relating to design tools.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary design environments and working with both Imperial and Metric units.
- Experience with GIS systems such as ESRI Arc Map or ArcGIS Pro.
- Autodesk Professional or Expert-level Certifications.
- Prior experience establishing, managing, or modernizing enterprise-wide CADD/BIM standards and training programs.
- Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
This position plays a critical role in supporting the firm's Integrated Design Initiative and ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all design disciplines and project teams. The CADD/BIM Systems Manager will support approximately 75 CADD users across multiple engineering disciplines and will work collaboratively with IT, Technical Directors, Discipline Leads, Design Section staff, and CADD/BIM user groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Quality Management and Standards Development- Develop, maintain, and manage corporate CADD and BIM standards, templates, libraries, and workflow documentation.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) related to CADD and BIM practices.
- Perform periodic reviews of BIM models to verify compliance with company standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and project requirements.
- Coordinate with the Information Technology team to evaluate software and hardware needs.
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and updating cycles for Autodesk AEC Collection tools and related design technologies.
- Administer Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environments to support project collaboration and model coordination.
- Serve as a primary technical resource for design and engineering staff regarding CADD/BIM workflows, troubleshooting, standards interpretation, and best practices.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive training program, utilizing internal and external training partners.
- Mentor staff and provide guidance that promotes consistent, efficient, and technically sound design practices.
