Test Engineer, Electronics Engineer
The Test Engineer / Test Technician will support the verification, validation, and reliability testing of wearable electronic devices, with a focus on systems incorporating flexible circuits and miniaturized electromechanical components. This role is highly hands‑on and execution‑focused, supporting senior engineers and project leads by performing routine mechanical and environmental testing, collecting and analyzing test data, and maintaining reliable test workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Execute routine and advanced component-level and system-level mechanical and environmental tests, including durability, fatigue, wear, flex, and environmental exposure
- Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical and electromechanical test fixtures, equipment, and instrumentation
- Support senior engineers and project leads by running repeatable test procedures and ensuring consistent, high-quality data collection
- Collect, organize, and analyze large test data sets using Excel, Python, MATLAB, JMP, or similar tools
- Use basic scripting or programming (e.g., Python, VBA, C#, or equivalent) to support data analysis, reporting, and simple test automation
- Perform basic failure analysis and root cause investigations, escalating complex issues to senior engineering staff as needed
- Document test procedures, results, and observations in clear, concise reports to support verification, validation, and regulatory activities
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, quality, and regulatory teams to support ongoing test activities and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or a related technical discipline OR equivalent hands‑on test experience
- Experience executing mechanical, electromechanical, or environmental testing in a laboratory, manufacturing, or R&D environment
- Strong comfort working with test data, including experience analyzing large data sets in Excel and at least one scripting or programming language (Python, MATLAB, VBA, C#, etc.)
- Familiarity with testing of small‑scale, precision, or miniaturized components (wearables, electronics, electromechanical assemblies, or similar products)
- Ability to follow defined test procedures, troubleshoot test setups, and work effectively in a fast‑paced lab environment
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to clearly communicate test results to engineering teams
