TRC Advanced Energy (TRC), a nationally known energy consultancy, is seeking a Project Assistant to support our single-family new construction energy efficiency in programs in Oregon. The position requires the ability to develop and analyze home energy modeling simulation files and review modeling submissions from program trade allies. This position requires interaction with builders, energy consultants, program verifiers, and design teams.

• Maintain knowledge and expertise in eligibility, enrollment, and program processes
• Provide design and technical assistance to program verifiers and builders
• Promote energy programs to builders, verifiers, contractors, and product manufacturers
• Conduct inspections to verify that the energy efficiency measures meet program quality standards
• Create reports to document home inspection results and identify areas of remediation
• Provide technical guidance and support or assist in addressing onsite issues
• Create and review energy models to analyze energy use in homes in compliance with program guidelines
• Provide trend analysis of energy efficiency measure and participation trends
• Contribute to high‑quality technical reports suitable for both technical and non‑technical audiences

• Associate's degree or equivalent, or a minimum of two years of related experience, or 4-plus years of applicable work experience and a high school diploma
• Excellent attention to detail, with ability to follow established protocols
• Effective collaboration, communication, and administrative skills to support meetings, planning, and tracking
• Effective computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office and database applications
• Experience in construction, HERS rating, or related building science field preferred
• Knowledgeable about building energy modeling software such as REM/Rate, Eko trope, or others, preferred
• Valid driver’s license in the State of Oregon (must be obtained prior to employment), position entails travel, mostly within Oregon.
