Mechanical Engineer - Plumbing

This exciting opportunity is available at any of the following office locations:

San Diego, CA;
Scottsdale, AZ;
Dallas, TX; and Bloomington, MN. The position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, requiring at least three days per week onsite at our office.

• Leading the plumbing design of multiple projects of various sizes.
• Preparing reports and studies.
• Selecting, specifying, and estimating costs of plumbing system equipment and fixtures.
• Performing calculations as required.
• Conducting periodic construction site inspections.
• Supervises staff on project teams.
• Other tasks as assigned.

A valid driver's license and approximately up to 25% travel will be required.

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least six years of relevant plumbing engineering experience.
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states.

• Leading plumbing design of complex projects including:
  • fire suppression / sprinkler
  • compressed air / gas
  • laboratory water / gas
  • medical gas design
• Performing calculations for system layout and sizing.
• Using Revit to create bid document drawings.
• Designing systems for Federal Government projects.
• Plumbing, fire protection and building codes.
• CPD certification from ASPE is preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with generative AI‑driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $150,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as experience, skill set, or location.
