The day-to-day work will vary and may involve project and task management, data analysis, literature review, field work, and writing.

Career growth at Integral offers future opportunities to manage tasks and projects, communicate with clients, and present and/or publish your work through science conferences and peer‑reviewed journals. Most assignments will require teamwork, though a few will be entirely your responsibility.

This position may offer in-office, remote, or hybrid opportunities based on the candidate’s location and the needs of the organization.

  • Leading field investigation efforts by providing in-office or in-field support as appropriate based on project and program complexity.
  • Developing and refining conceptual site models and contaminant fate and transport by analyzing, evaluating, and combining geologic, hydrogeologic, chemical, and other data and information.
  • Supporting the development and refinement of remedial alternatives and remedial design by providing analysis and interpretation of existing and hypothetical future geologic/hydrogeologic conditions as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Conducting project and task management.
  • Managing subcontractors and performing basic contract management (preparing work orders).
  • Communicating technical information to varied audiences (e.g., clients, staff).
  • Providing a high quality and consistent work product including technical reports/documents for submittal to internal and external clients/regulators.
  • Leading and mentoring staff.
Qualifications

Candidates should hold a B.S. or M.S. degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, or related technical field.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience with leading and completing field investigations and contractor oversight.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.

  • Experience using and applying a variety of analysis and/or modeling tools (e.g. GIS, Leapfrog, EVS, or other similar software tools).
  • Strong quantitative and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully within multidisciplinary and diverse teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A desire to grow both intellectually and professionally.
  • Possess strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.
