Position: Structural Project Manager / Structural Engineer

Locations: Portland, Oregon & Phoenix, Arizona
Employment Type: Full-Time
Licensure: E.I.T. or P.E. required (or in progress for E.I.T.)

About the Role

Our client, a reputable and growing structural engineering firm, is seeking talented Structural Engineers with 2-10+ years of professional experience. These positions will support a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Ideal candidates are motivated, technically strong, and eager to contribute to a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
  • Prepare construction documents, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal engineering staff throughout all project phases.
  • Conduct site visits, assessments, and inspections as needed.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client expectations.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred but not required).
  • 2-8 years of structural engineering experience in building design.
  • Experience with wood, steel, concrete, and/or masonry design.
  • Proficiency with structural engineering software (e.g., RISA, SAP
    2000, RAM, ETABS, or similar).
  • E.I.T. certification required; P.E. preferred or in progress.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or within a team environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior work in commercial, industrial, and/or residential structural design.
  • Familiarity with local building codes in Oregon or Arizona.
  • Experience preparing permit packages and coordinating with local jurisdictions.
