We are seeking a proactive and technically driven Engineer to join our client’s growing engineering team. In this role, you will serve as the central point of contact for both internal teams and external customers, supporting engineering services and driving technical solutions related to fastening systems and product development. WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Act as the primary liaison for customers and internal stakeholders, supporting daily engineering operations and ensuring seamless communication across teams.
- Provide technical guidance on fastener applications, assisting customers in resolving joint and assembly challenges while aligning with their technical objectives.
- Support the development and release of fastening solutions, including functional builds, CAD data coordination, and overall application validation.
- Deliver cost analysis and lead time estimates for engineering changes and new project initiatives.
- Drive value-added engineering (VA/VE) efforts to improve product performance, reduce costs, and optimize assembly processes.
- Coordinate and manage Bill of Materials (BOM), including part standardization, reporting, and part count optimization.
- Participate in line walks and product development initiatives, focusing on best-in-class fastening solutions and assembly time reduction.
- Research and introduce new fastener technologies, collaborating with suppliers to bring innovative solutions to customers.
- Provide on-site customer support as needed, either periodically or in a resident capacity.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in engineering, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong mechanical and/or material knowledge; experience with fasteners is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams or project management environments.
- Exposure to global operations or multicultural work settings.
- Knowledge of advanced fastening technologies and supplier collaboration.
