RWDI seeks a Building Enclosure Consultant to join the Portland office. The role involves supporting projects from early design to on-site guidance and performance verification, delivering insights on maintenance and enhancement of existing structures, and assisting senior consultants.

• Observe construction and installation of building enclosure systems in the field, including review of mockups and quality assurance testing.
• Conduct assessments of existing building enclosures.
• Draft details for the building enclosure using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Review enclosure details and specifications prepared by clients.
• Assist clients with system selection for building enclosure.
• Research building codes, industry standards, and enclosure systems for performance, compatibility, and durability.
• Provide local travel and occasional overnight trips as required.
• Handle physical aspects such as climbing ladders and stairs.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in building enclosure design, review, and assessments.
• Undergraduate degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of building science and building enclosure controls for heat, air, and water.
• Strong communication skills expressing technical concepts in straightforward language.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.

• Familiarity with building performance modeling software.
• Familiarity with energy codes.
• Familiarity with building commissioning.
• Experience in construction or construction management.
