This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced roadway engineer who enjoys leading teams, managing complex projects, and building strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of B&N's transportation practice.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage transportation infrastructure design projects, with a focus on roadway, highway, bikeway, and related facilities
- Oversee design execution while monitoring key performance indicators including budget, schedule, and project risk
- Ensure high-quality, consistent deliverables through effective quality control practices
- Mentor and support junior staff, while collaborating with Operations Leaders, Project Managers, and Professional Engineers across the firm
- Contribute to proposal development, project pursuits, and client relationship management
- Partner with clients to deliver solutions that meet technical, schedule, and budget expectations
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited civil or transportation engineering program
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon, or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity
- 10+ years of roadway design and experience leading design tasks or serving as a roadway design lead
- Knowledge of ODOT design standards is preferred
- Proposal development and client relationship management experience is advantageous; existing relationships with ODOT or local agencies a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Bentley Open Roads and/or Civil 3D is preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively using virtual collaboration tools
