Transmission Line Engineer - Grid

Transmission Line Engineering (69kV-765kV)

This position will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of transmission line engineering including conductors, hardware, insulation, structures, foundations, and electrical principles to design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.

• Perform structural analysis and design of pole, lattice, framed, and guyed structures.
• Perform foundation designs.
• Conduct conductor selection studies, shielding, grounding, and induction studies.
• Develop cost estimates and schedules.

This position will offer you the ability to apply and expand your knowledge of underground transmission line engineering, including routing, duct bank configurations, and manhole placement.

• Design underground transmission lines.
• Perform routing and duct bank configuration studies.
• Determine manhole placement.

This position will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of protective relaying and control systems for HV and EHV substations.

• Work on a wide range of substation projects.

Hybrid / flexible work schedule with a mix of work at the Sargent & Lundy office and remote from home.
