Job SummaryElectrical BIM Designer – design documentation, setup and management of Revit BIM models, coordination with other discipline BIM leads, and creation of 3‑D models and 2‑D construction drawings using Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities- Create and manage Revit BIM models in accordance with Jacobs and client BIM standards.
- Coordinate with electrical discipline, other BIM leads and the overall design team to produce fully coordinated 3‑D models across all design disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L).
- Create 2‑D construction drawings that support the design intent of senior electrical design staff.
- Maintain design documentation and ensure clash‑free 3‑D models through collaboration with architects, engineers and other designers.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant electrical systems design experience in the construction industry.
- Growth in understanding how codes and standards influence design decisions.
- Growth in understanding design and construction specifications and their function.
- Basic knowledge of wiring/cabling connections in relation to circuits or device links.
- Experience following client design and modeling standards.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling based on mark‑ups or verbal direction.
- Willingness to learn new things.
- At least 3 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience.
- Understanding of data center environments.
- Knowledge and design experience with power, cable routing, and lighting systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and one‑line diagrams.

CompensationThe base salary range for this position is $66,000.00 to $90,800.00; pay will be hourly based on hours worked.
