Role Overview

The EHS Coordinator is an entry‑level position. The individual typically comes out of the trades or is a new graduate just starting in the field. The EHS Coordinator may report to a project‑based EHS Manager or be placed on a smaller project by themselves. The role provides safety support and technical assistance to project teams and serves as an excellent role model for Skanska and subcontractor personnel.

Key responsibilities include identifying and providing solutions for construction and environmental hazards. The EHS Coordinator must be a flexible and adaptable team player, and must have strong communication and client‑service skills.

Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in a role focused on identifying safety hazards and recommending appropriate controls.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
