Revit Drafter
Job Description
This role focuses on producing accurate 2D drawings from 3D Revit models to support fabrication and construction activities. The drafter assists with minor model content manipulation and publishes both 2D and 3D drawings that provide precise information for use in a fabrication shop and construction documentation. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to large, complex projects in the semiconductor industry while gaining valuable experience in virtual construction and electrical fabrication environments.
Responsibilities
+ Use Revit to produce detailed shop drawings from 3D models under the direct supervision of the BIM Modeler Lead or Virtual Construction Lead.
+ Create 2D drawings from 3D Revit models for use in fabrication shops and construction documentation.
+ Assist with minor model content manipulation to ensure drawings reflect accurate design information.
+ Follow established company standards for creating shop drawings from 3D model content.
+ Download drawings and project information from online platforms, including SharePoint and project websites.
+ Prepare copies and assemble complete sets of documents for transmittal to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Work effectively and collaboratively with Virtual Construction and Prefabrication team members.
+ Apply a competent understanding of client policies and procedures when preparing drawings and documentation.
+ Interpret verbal and general written directions and translate them into accurate, working design documents.
+ Ensure all published drawings and models contain accurate and clear information suitable for fabrication and construction use.
Essential Skills
+ Experience using Revit to create 2D drawings from 3D models.
+ Ability to assist with minor Revit model content manipulation.
+ Exposure to Revit-based workflows in a BIM environment.
+ Familiarity with Navisworks and BIM coordination concepts.
+ Comfortable using AutoCAD for drafting tasks.
+ Understanding of shop drawings, construction documents, and fabrication-focused drawings.
+ Basic knowledge of electrical systems in a construction or fabrication context.
+ Ability to follow company standards and client policies for drawing production.
+ Strong ability to take verbal and written direction and convert it into accurate design documents.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with Virtual Construction, BIM, and Prefabrication teams.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working with BIM tools such as Navisworks in a construction or fabrication environment.
+ Background or exposure to electrical construction projects.
+ Experience producing shop drawings specifically for fabrication shops.
+ Familiarity with downloading and managing project documentation from online platforms and SharePoint.
+ Interest in working on large, complex projects in the semiconductor industry.
+ Desire to grow skills in virtual construction and electrical fabrication drafting.
+ Strong organizational skills for assembling and transmitting document sets.
+ Ability to adapt to established workflows and standards in a fast-paced project environment.
Work Environment
This position is fully onsite, working in the office five days per week alongside the project and virtual construction teams. The role offers flexible start times, typically between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., to accommodate individual schedules. You will work in a collaborative environment with BIM, Virtual Construction, and Prefabrication professionals on large, complex projects in the semiconductor industry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
