Position OverviewWe are adding Construction Field Engineers to build the Bull Run Filtration Facility to supply filtered drinking water to Portland and nearby areas. The facility is designed to treat up to 135 million gallons of water per day from the Bull Run River. The scope includes removing sediment and contaminants, site preparation, excavation, procurement, and installation of essential components like inlet structures, an ozone contact basin, and more.
This is a $1.24 B project with an estimated completion date of 3/2028.

LocationThis role will be based on‑site at the Bull Run Filtration Facility in Portland, OR.
Responsibilities- Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Perform quantity inspections by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work
- Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages
- Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as‑built data
- Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets
- Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s)
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
- Order and schedule material deliveries
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
- Supervise field operations
- 2+ years’ construction field experience, preferably in heavy civil construction (roadway, concrete, asphalt, earthworks, bridge, rail, water, or wastewater)
- Experience in engineering and leading engineers
- Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a variety of climates and environments
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and initiative
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure no injuries
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed

Base Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
