Senior Field Service Technician

As a Senior
Field Service Technician
, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of our innovative water and vapor treatment technologies in the field along with supporting the operations pilot demonstration units. This position will partner with Project Managers when jobs are awarded to review project scope of work, roles and responsibilities, and project safety. Additionally, this position will apply theory and principles of environmental engineering to modify, test, and operate equipment and devices used in the prevention, control, and remediation of environmental problems, including waste treatment and site remediation, under the direction of engineering staff or scientists.

This position may assist in the development of environmental remediation devices.

The annual compensation range for this role is $80,000-$90,000 commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

A Day in the Life

Reporting to the Field Services Project Manager, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

  • Leads and independently performs complex field engineering and technical activities, including equipment inspections, startup and commissioning support, fabrication progress evaluations, vendor and supplier site audits, construction inspections, field verification measurements, site assessments, troubleshooting, and comprehensive data collection efforts.
  • Serves as a technical lead in the field by coordinating with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational objectives.
  • Performs operations and maintenance (O&M) of various types of environmental treatment equipment including pumps, filters, tanks, pressure vessels, and other types of process unit operations.
  • Possesses a general understanding of system hydraulics, mechanical operation/functionality and instrumentation/electrical control schemes
  • Supports fabrication activities, as well as hands‑on set‑up of bench and pilot testing equipment
  • Executes piping/skid fabrication in the shop and field, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical system issues or failures
  • Collects samples using a variety of sampling methods and operates field monitoring equipment including but not limited to: PID/FID, pH, EC, DO, GEM, turbidity, water level, and LEL meters
  • Measures and records treatment operational data by carefully documenting monitoring and testing results on field forms and prepares field daily reports and data sheets
  • Conducts field monitoring, sampling, testing, and basic evaluations; maintains chain‑of‑custody documentation and regulatory sample handling protocols; and records inspection data in electronic spreadsheets and reports
  • Ensures proper labeling and handling of hazardous material and waste
  • Exercises safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs
  • Communicates promptly with Project Managers and various stakeholders to inform of site conditions and activities
  • Interacts with clients acting as a front‑line representative of the company, presents a professional appearance, and wears appropriate PPE on job sites
  • Participates in the company’s continuous improvement programs and provides support to team efforts
  • Keeps up‑to‑date and current on industry trends by completing formal training
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Your Expertise and Skills

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience performing mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, environmental collection, monitoring, sampling, testing and basic evaluation
  • Must possess a valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record and have reliable transportation for travel to project and job sites.
