The Department offers a bachelor's degree, two master's degrees, a doctorate degree, and a graduate level certificate. The Department incorporates 10 full time tenure track faculty, 2 full time non-tenure track faculty, 4 full time staff, and various talented adjunct and affiliated research faculty.

Position Summary
- The Department of Mechanical & Materials Engineering at Portland State University invites local, qualified candidates to serve as adjunct instructors in the following specialty areas:

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field. Work experience and/or teaching experience aligned with course content may be used in lieu of degree, at the Department's discretion. Must live in Oregon or Washington.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience, preferred. PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field, preferred.

Compensation
- Adjuncts are paid per credit hour, and are hired on either a per term or an academic year basis, per the AFT Collective Bargaining Agreement.
