Piping Design Lead

Motivated, self-starting Process Piping Lead with 5+ years leading a piping team. Candidate will have experience developing resource loaders, managing teams to delivery schedules, and facilitating resolution of design challenges for the piping team. Ideal candidate will have 15+ years experience in layout of process and mechanical equipment and associated piping design. Must be well organized with strong communication skills. Ideal candidate will have recent experience and be a knowledgeable user of Cadworx 3D and or Revit design software and Navisworks.

Experience with process mechanical piping systems, industrial waste and high purity water systems a plus. Microelectronics experience a plus. Experience with pipe installation details and pipe supports, a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred instead of required.

Provide direction and coordinate the work of sub-leads and piping designers to ensure project execution with high design quality. Manage delivery schedule including escalation to project managers when schedule is port piping design team and facilitate resolution of design challenges. Develop resource loaders to predict budget burn rate and overall estimate to complete work. Coordinate design with other disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, etc.)

to ensure success of project. Position may also require field support activities on client site including site walks. Will be working with an engineering design team on high-tech industrial manufacturing facility projects. This is a hybrid position, with the candidate preferably being hired in one of the following locations for a 2 day/week in-office schedule:
Portland, OR / Phoenix, AZ / Pittsburgh, PA / Boise,  remote would be considered for the right candidate, though it is not preferred.

Can sit anywhere in the US where there's a company's office in commuting distance.
