Overview/SummaryOur Client is a global professional services firm that provides engineering, design, construction, and consulting solutions across infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, energy, water, and government sectors. We're looking for a Senior HVAC Design Technician who can step in and contribute immediately. In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary design and engineering teams to lead the development of complex industrial HVAC and Process Exhaust systems for advanced facilities.
This role is ideal for an experienced designer who thrives in a fast paced environment and can operate with a high degree of independence, technical judgment, and initiative
- Lead design, layout, and routing of industrial building mechanical systems
- Develop P&IDs, plans, sections, and construction details
- Perform design tasks across planning, concept, and detailed design
- Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal disciplines
- Apply expert knowledge of building mechanical systems and codes to ensure quality and accuracy
- High school diploma or GED
- 8+ years of AutoCAD design experience
- 4+ years of Revit design experience
- 5+ years of industrial building mechanical design experience
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. Mechanical Codes, specifically the International Mechanical Code (IMC)
- Demonstrated ability to independently execute design packages with minimal supervision
- Experience in complex industrial environments such as semiconductor manufacturing, clean rooms, data centers or other advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Technical or Associate's degree in a relevant discipline
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Advanced problem solving, planning, and analytical skills
