Safety Engineer, Occupational Health & Safety, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Environmental Compliance
As the Safety Lead, you will oversee and manage Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs within your designated Region. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. The Safety Lead will ensure all locations adhere to regulatory requirements, implement safety policies, and provide training and guidance to teams to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
What will you do?- Actively promote and ensure safety compliance within your Hub
- Support Landus' EHS initiatives by providing regional assistance with:
- Implementing new safety policies and initiatives.
- Developing recommendations for safety enhancements.
- Managing recordkeeping, scheduling, and document delivery.
- Assisting with inspection visits conducted by regulatory authorities.
- Contribute to EHS efforts by conducting:
- Employee training and ensure ongoing compliance with Paylocity trainings
- Accident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Routine facility audits and inspections.
- Drive EHS efforts by providing hands‑on support to location teams.
- Work closely with the Maintenance team and Operations team to ensure EHS standards are met
- Assist with monthly locational training sessions and general safety awareness activities.
- Support the maintenance and implementation of Emergency Action Plans and Risk Management Plans.
- Perform and document BBS (Behavior‑Based Safety) observations.
- Monitor and ensure contractor safety compliance across locations.
- Lead and work by example at all times, following EHS guidelines.
This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in the company’s vehicle safety policy. Failure to meet these qualifications could result in removal from this position.
