- Compensation: Target starting base salary up to $160K, plus quarterly Success Sharing bonus opportunity (up to 20% of annual salary)
Our client is hiring a Team Leader, Equipment Engineering & Maintenance to lead equipment engineering and maintenance teams supporting high-performance semiconductor wafer manufacturing operations in Portland, OR
.
This is a highly visible fab leadership role responsible for driving equipment uptime, availability, reliability, maintenance strategy, project execution, and team development. The right person will bring strong semiconductor equipment experience, data-driven reliability expertise, and the leadership ability to coach engineers and technicians in a fast-paced production environment.
What you’ll own:- Lead Equipment Engineers and Maintenance Technicians, setting clear expectations around safety, performance, accountability, and development
- Own equipment uptime, availability, and OEE for assigned fab areas
- Lead rapid troubleshooting, escalation, and structured recovery of critical tool issues
- Improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies
- Use equipment history, SPC, fault trends, and reliability data to reduce unplanned downtime
- Lead RCA, 8D, DOE, FMEA, and other structured problem-solving efforts
- Manage engineering projects including tool upgrades, qualifications, capital projects, and process transfers
- Partner with Technology, Operations, Quality, vendors, and leadership to support fab performance goals
- Support budgeting, spare parts strategy, lifecycle planning, audit readiness, and compliance
- 7+ years of semiconductor fab or closely related manufacturing/engineering experience
- Strong background in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, maintenance systems, reliability improvement, and engineering project execution
- Experience leading equipment engineers, maintenance technicians, or technical manufacturing teams
- Data analysis experience including SPC, equipment history, fault trending, and reliability metrics
- Experience with tool installs, upgrades, qualifications, capital projects, or cross-functional engineering initiatives
- Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- SAP experience preferred
- Working knowledge of silicon products strongly preferred
