Senior EHV Transmission Line Project Manager

HDR is inviting applications for a Senior EHV Transmission Line Project Manager to lead linear projects ranging from 5 to 100+ miles and up to 765 kV, overseeing routing, siting, public involvement, environmental permitting, right-of-way acquisition, surveying, geotechnical, engineering, procurement, and construction support.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Overall project management duties including scope, schedule, budget, planning, financial controls, earned value, communication, team management, change management, and closeout.
• Understanding and overseeing the project life cycle, client goals, contract terms, risk, and schedule presented in a work breakdown structure.
• Leadership and coordination of multiple disciplines within linear projects: public involvement, environmental permitting, real estate/right-of-way acquisition, surveying, geotechnical investigations, engineering, construction management, and related services.
• Project scheduling of all disciplines and coordination with discipline leads and subcontractors to meet milestones and deliverables.
• Directing technical engineering managers and discipline leaders responsible for QA/QC and quality assurance.
• Managing client relationships, providing project support and technical assistance.
• Representing HDR in marketing and proposal development for new opportunities.
• Travel for business development and execution as required.

Preferred qualifications
:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of linear multi‑discipline project management.
• Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• Strong client and project management skills.
• Leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Experience managing EHV transmission line projects and design.

Required qualifications
:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating, scheduling, and project management software.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
