Sr. Lead Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity

PAE is seeking a senior Senior Lead Electrical Engineer in our Portland office to drive technical excellence and discipline management across our most complex projects. In this dual-capacity role, you will act as both a technical authority and a strategic team leader, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of electrical systems. You will shape project workplans, mentor staff, and maintain the highest standards in Power Distribution, Lighting, and System Analysis.

• Lead the project team and manage discipline, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
• Prepare deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Attend client meetings and coordinate efforts between external and internal project teams
• Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment from concepts through construction
• Design electrical system distribution, lighting, and power systems
• Assemble effective project teams and develop workplans, tasks, and assignments
• Provide thorough interdisciplinary coordination and oversee engineering calculations and equipment selection
• Conduct site visits and issue reports
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship for staff
• Update master specifications and standards, and improve company processes
• Apply distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power
• Develop client relationships and oversee the application of the project quality management plan (QMP)
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Relevant Professional Credential (e.g., PE)
• 2–4 years of Electrical Lead experience or 5–10 years of related work experience
• Ability to inspire and motivate staff and serve as a technical resource for the company
• Advanced understanding of electrical engineering concepts and effective design communication
• Strong delegation and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Revit/AutoCAD, and Easy Power

• Hiring base salary range: $102,600–$126,800 per year
• Eligible for time and a half overtime pay
