Senior Hydraulic Modeling/Conveyance Engineer

Responsibilities include leading water and wastewater system planning, modeling, and design services for diverse projects. You will perform hydraulic modeling, capital planning, data collection, analysis, quality control, documentation, and support during design and construction with tools such as EPA SWMM, Info Works ICM, Mike Plus, PC SWMM, SewerGEMs, Info Water Pro , WaterGEMs, EPANet, Optimizer, and ArcGIS Pro.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform technical tasks, quality control, and coordinate resources across multiple concurrent projects from planning through closeout.
  • Coordinate with other project disciplines, mentor early‑career engineering staff, and serve as a technical subject matter expert, task lead, design manager, or project management roles as required.
  • Contribute to client engagement, professional services marketing, sales, and business development pursuits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or other applicable engineering disciplines.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Eight or more years of progressive engineering experience in water/wastewater system and infrastructure related disciplines, hydraulic evaluations, and design, including flow management, diversion, conveyance, piping, open channel systems, pumping, control valves, storage, and other typical hydraulic structures.
  • Core technical hydraulic model development, calibration, and evaluation experience using at least two of the modeling software packages listed above, or similar, along with ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience developing, planning, advancing, and delivering engineering modeling studies and associated technical reports and presentations.
  • Familiarity and experience with typical and related system planning approaches, technical and industry standards, regulations, and requirements.
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and technical writing, editing, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience working and collaborating effectively within multi‑disciplinary teams, both internally and with external and client partners, to accomplish complex engineering, planning, and design assignments.
  • Attention to detail, quality, and a demonstrated ability to communicate, collaborate, and self‑manage engagements to deliver effectively on project and production delivery commitments and requirements with minimal oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Twelve or more years of engineering experience in water related disciplines.
  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Design and/or project management experience.
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior professionals in hydraulic modeling.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis and programming, such as Python scripting for GIS and Visual Basic for Excel.
