Program Chief Engineer – Vision Systems Helmet and Headworn Display Team

Job OverviewThe Vision Systems Helmet and Headworn Display team develops innovative helmet‑mounted and head‑worn display technology for aerospace customers. The Program Chief Engineer (PCE) serves as the primary technical contact with the customer and program management, leading a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver complex development programs on time, within budget, and to scope.
What You Will Do- Work with Program Managers, Engineering managers and leads to develop the program execution plan, including schedule, budget and staffing for complex projects.
- Lead engineering execution, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule and scope.
- Serve as primary technical interface to the customer and business leadership.
- Define product requirements, scope and system architecture, and oversee integration and verification across multiple systems.
- Bid, plan and manage project budget, schedule and scope.
- Collaborate across integrated project teams (engineering, program management, operations, finance, contracts, business development) to achieve program objectives.
- Develop strategic roadmaps and drive predictable program performance.
- Encourage a collaborative team culture that meets business and customer commitments.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 8 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years experience.
- Strong understanding of product requirement definition, scope definition, system architecture and design.
- Experience managing engineering execution, budget, schedule and scope.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders across technical spectrum.
- Experience in commercial or military avionics display systems.
- Experience developing schedules using MS Project or similar tools.
- Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
