Windsor Engineers is looking for a Structural Engineer who will support licensed engineers in the analysis, design, and documentation of structural systems across a variety of project types.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Demonstrate Windsor’s core values through positive representation, teamwork, and professional conduct.
- Support licensed Structural Engineers with the analysis and design of structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
- Perform engineering calculations and technical analysis under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
- Assist in the preparation of structural drawings, details, and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines as part of an integrated project team.
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, basic cost considerations, and project documentation.
- Support construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and attending site visits as needed.
- Participate in continuous learning of structural engineering codes, standards, and best practices.
- Maintain organized project files and contribute to quality control efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of relevant structural engineering experience; municipal water/wastewater project experience valued (internship or co‑op experience may count).
- Working knowledge of structural design principles and applicable codes (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS).
- Experience with or exposure to AutoCAD and/or Revit for structural drafting and modeling.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with basic engineering software and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to perform site visits as required.
